Our Story
Magnifique Bags founders, Mazher and Alefiyah Ali, selling their handbags in
Magnifique Bags is a small, family-run business founded in 1990. For nearly 40 years, our family has been crafting leather goods. Every bag, wallet, and accessory that leaves our California workshop is shaped from premium full-grain leather and hand-painted by skilled artisans, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike.
Our History
1990
Mazher founds Magnifique Bags, hand-painting and hand-crafting them out of his garage in Southern California.
1991
Mazher begins selling handbags at pop-ups, markets, and swap meets.
1996
After 5 years of operating out of his garage, Mazher rents a small warehouse where he gets more space to create handbags and package orders.
2000
Mazher begins to focus on selling bags wholesale to small boutiques and gift shops across California
2026
Magnifique Bags website gets a major overhaul and Magnifique begins bringing handbags directly to customers with an online retail store

Mazher Ali
Mazher is the founder of Magnifique Bags. For 40 years, Mazher has taken every order, packed every handbag, gone to countless pop-ups and markets to sell bags, and everything in between. Mazher’s passion for making quality handbags and accessories is the reason Magnifique has stood the test of time.
Alefiyah Ali
Alefiyah has worked to design and help paint every single handbag. For 40 years, Alefiyah has served as the heart of Magnifique Bags.
Adam Ali
Adam has helped Mazher and Alefiyah through every step of the way. Once he was old enough, he loved coming to Magnifique to help his parents pack and ship orders.
